Sunday Social at Exeter Phoenix every Sunday from 12pm - 5pm featuring REBECCA WORTHLEY - COLE STACEY and other great live acoustic sets, DJ’s in the cafe/bar - come and have a coffee, do breakfast and chill to some great music.

Singer songwriters and musicians are welcome to step up and play, full pa etc provided.

PHOENIXSOUNDS presents on Saturday 29th March, Ellie Holland - Evi Vine - Dave sanders + special Guest

Evi Vine, nominated artist for the Indy Music Awards 2008 and possible future Mercury Music Prize candidate, transports her audiences with her spectacular talent to dark places. ‘Evi’s potent, dark and beautiful tones stretch flesh and sinew over the raw, animal skeleton of the music.

Ellie Holland is a 23-year-old singer songwriter from Surrey with a powerful voice and a great stage presence; a fantastic soul singer with a funky guitar sound to accompany reminiscent of early/mid 90’s funk soul.

David Sanders, is an acoustic/folk Rock singer-songwriter from Bristol. His awesome tunes sing about the elusive headaches of daily existence…. his fingers know the quickest way to your heart.

Phoenix Sounds will mark the countdown to the launch of Sound Gallery Studios, which will be located at the basement of Exeter Phoenix, from March 2008.

…well here goes, un update on developments concerning the birth of Sound Gallery studios….somethings stiring underground…is it a MONSTER!……………no, its not!

Exeter City Council have ENTERED the building! to start their part of the refurbishment work. Our crack team of builders and electricians (Lewis & Elton & Nathan) are poised around the corner and ready to start phase two in January 2008, the full make-over. This will include setting up a new ‘clean’ power supply, installing air conditioning and ventilation and of course sound-proofing.
We hope to be bringing in studio equipment and decorating etc by February….start holding your breath NOW!…….resume breathing.

For those who are interested, (we know you’re out there) here are pictures of the work in progress to keep you up to date with the transformation.

Mansons Guitar Shop are to provide (in association with Fender) a very sweet compliment of amps, PA, kits and instruments including some very tasty, high end models..(thats amps not fashion dudes).
We are hosting a number of mansons workshops and courses at Exter Phoenix and have plans to hold a large scale guitar exhibition at the end of the year.

We will be running some features on mansons and their involvment with the Studio very soon.

NEWSFLASH………..Sound Gallery is awarded £120,000 by V , the youth volunteering charity, to get up to 90 young people involved in all aspects of the organisations activities over the next three years.
