Sound Gallery Studios present their second Music Technology Expo, one of the big hits of last year’s Vibraphonic festival. The A2D Music Expo brings together the leading music technology companies from around the world fresh from NAMM show in USA, to present to you all the very latest and greatest equipment & software for DJs, musicians, live performers, bands, producers and sound engineers.
On the day you can try out the latest technology, musical instruments and recording systems and most importantly speak to the experts about how to get the most out of this amazing equipment - ‘hands-on demos, masterclasses, stalls, workshops and live performances across the whole building alongside exclusive live sessions in Sound Gallery recording studios.
Prize Draw entries are also available to purchase in advance and on the day of the event, giving you the chance to win up to £5,000 worth of the latest software and hardware!
2010 is the start of a new era of music technology; whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned working professional, A2D will give you a head start on how to get the most from it all. So, if you need to set up your own digital home recording studio, get the perfect live guitar sound, become a superstar DJ, demystify MIDI or even emulate the classic analogue synths from yesteryear, then A2D is the show for you.
A2D Workshops & Masterclasses
A2D Music Expo provides a whole day of rolling workshops, masterclasses and demos held in studio spaces throughout the building (suitable for all ages). The following workshops/masterclasses must be booked in advance due to limited spaces:
- Computers Live - Ableton Live 8workshops delivered by Martin Delaney the U.K’s official Ableton demonstrator (Martin also writes the Ableton column for ‘Future Music’).
- Digital Recording - Propellerhead Reason and Record workshops delivered by Joe Morretti the U.K’s official Propellerhead demonstrator (Apple certified teacher).
- Soft Synths - Time & Space deliver workshops/masterclass on their exciting products including Spectrasonics - Omnisphere - and the brand new Trilian bass synth.
- Guitar & Bass Guitar Technology - Native Instruments Guitar Rig 4 - IKMultimedia Amplitube - Peavey - Revalver.

A screening of the Director’s cut of the iconic BLADE RUNNER movie in glorious Blue Ray, including extended scenes and never-before seen special effects, to celebrate the pre-release of ‘Rachel’s Love Theme’ (Vangelis) re-recorded at Sound Gallery Studios, featuring a live performance and a Q & A session with Raphael Ravenscroft - the original Saxophonist on the sound track - plus live performances from Kat Marsh, Swanston and special guests.
