Description
These unique vocal courses and interactive workshops help you to expand and improve your vocal range, tuning, power, delivery and authenticity as a singer. The additional benefits are better health, increased self- confidence, and presence in all aspects of life. We use a holistic education approach that takes the best from the performing arts and combines this with the most cutting edge techniques taken from psychology, life coaching, leadership development training, NLP, sound healing, meditation and visualisation techniques. The present courses are for adults of 18+
 
·           Aims
To enable participants develop their voices; learn a healthy vocal technique and basic musicianship.
·         To provide students with the opportunity to sing in groups or solo, learn harmonies and improvisation and perform solo for the more advanced singers.
·         Objectives/Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course participants will:
·         Have a basic understanding of the voice and how it works
·         Have developed their vocal range and flexibility, breathing, pitch control and power.
·         Sing with increased confidence and authenticity
·         Have been introduced to different vocal styles
·         Had the opportunity to sing in groups or perform solo as appropriate
·         Have experience increased creativity, self-expression and feelings of well being by applying the principles of the course.
·         Have a basic understanding of musical theory as it pertains to singers today.
·         Have a good sense of where to proceed next with their singing.
TUTOR
Lorrayn de Peyer is an international Singer-Songwriter and the Founder and Director of THE COURAGE TO SING a national school of singing. She is currently working with leading producers, musicians and songwriters in Europe and America and has toured in America, Europe and South East Asia. She also has a BA with Hon's from Leeds University in Psychology and Sociology and has completed an extensive training programme in holistic health and complementary therapies. Lorrayn has practised yoga and meditation for thirty years.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Please read and agree to the following terms and conditions before booking. Familiarising yourself with the terms and conditions will avoid misunderstandings in the future.
Fees:
1. Accounts: Payment is for a six, twelve, eighteen, twenty-four week period in advance.
2. Cancellations and Withdrawals: It is with regret that no refunds or adjustments can be made for lessons missed or cancelled once your booking has been placed with us.
3. It is not possible to mix and match to make up for missed lessons on other courses.
This is in line with most other pre-paid activities.
3. Late Arrivals: Lessons will not be extended due to late arrival.
4. Sitting in: In the interest of the participants, only those involved in the session will sit in unless by special arrangement.
5. It is important to note that while Facilitators of our courses will use their best endeavours to ensure that participants make satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed.

Description

Sound Gallery is a social enterprise with many years experience of engaging and inspiring people through the creative process of making music. Since May 2008, we have been running a professional recording and music production studio in the basement complex at Exeter Phoenix. Sound Gallery Studios include a recording studio, live room, amp room and two rehearsal rooms. We also offer a wider range of music workshops, music technology courses, music industry networking events and live music showcases.
