Description:
Live sampling/Ableton Live: masterclass run by live performance artist Jon Sterckx. Learn how to create tracks entirely using acoustic & vocal percussion played, sampled and processed live. Created using a range of acoustic percussion instruments, vocal percussion & digital audio processing, Drumscapes range from highly energised rhythmical journeys to atmospheric percussion soundscapes.

Jon Sterckx is a percussionst  based in Devon, South West UK.
Jon trained in Indian tabla in India & the UK with several teachers including Harjinder Singh Matharu, Shivanand Bhandari & Kailash Nishad & also plays percussion from the Middle Eastern & West African traditions.

Jon has a BA (Hons) Music from Dartington College of Arts (2000), where he concentrated on tabla, fusion music & performance composition. Jon also performs with other musicians & musical forms. For more info about Jon - other projects, audio & video visit www.jonsterckx.co.uk
