| The South West’s only specialist rock college, the Exeter based Academy of Music and Sound are pleased to announce two new bands to join the bill of the biggest FREE Teenage music festival ever outside of London.
New Metal sensation Cry Havoc and Taunton’s own Tainted Orange are joining headliners The Sunshine Getaway and Sophie Mendoza and the Sonic Blue in what should prove to be the most exciting line up of young West Country Talent seen in Exeter this year.
Award winning television production and photographic company Pangaea will be represented by legendary photographer Simon Hammett who will on hand to take free professional band shots of any interested local bands and musicians and International Music Distributor Yamaha have now come on board to sponsor the event by providing a wealth of prizes for the Grand Draw including electric guitars and drums.
Organised in conjunction with Sound Gallery Studios and Exeter Phoenix the event seems likely to pull in teenage musicians and music fans from all over the county.
Festival organiser Steve Ryan, says: ‘Often young music fans find it hard to attend gigs due to minimum age limits on licensed premises. We have organised The Teenage Festival Sound specifically so that youngsters feel comfortable and safe in a first rate venue where some of the most exciting bands of the moment will entertain the audience throughout the day.
It will also be a great chance for young musicians to network with each other and perhaps to link up to form the groups and bands of the future.’
