Recording - Studio 1

Due to the unique nature of each project, quotes for recording bands and solo artists are given after you have discussed details of your project with us (see guide prices below). Recording rates include experienced sound engineer & exclusive use of studio 1 live room, vocal booth, amp room, control room. Clients receive CD of the session. (additional CDs: £1 each - Full data DVD: £20)

NOTE: Sound Gallery is a social enterprise and as such, we are able to offer concessions & discounts for the following:
students - unemployed/low income - not for profit organisations - charities etc

EQUIPMENT & STUDIO HIRE
Amps and drum kits are avaialable for hire in the studio including Fender, SWR, Ashdown, Marshall, Ludwig, Gretsch and more. Both studios are available for private hire or for filming purposes by special arrangement with the management.

Recording Rates

  • Full day (8hrs/10am-6pm/weekdays) from £210
  • Half day (4hrs/daytime/weekdays) from £110
  • Less than 4 hrs - 1st hour: £50
    (from £25 per hour thereafter)
    • Commercial voice-over recordings: minimum booking: 1 hr, please contact us for rates
  • Mixing: from £25 per hour
  • Mastering: from £30 per track
  • Production: from £40 per hour
  • Live recorded session to PhonicFM radio: from £80
  • Please note that evening and weekend sessions
    are charged at a slightly higher rate (from £225 per day/£125 per half day)

  • Gretsch drum kit: £40 per day

Rehearsal - studio 2

Rehearsal rates include backline: Mackie PA, Mapex drumkit, Fender guitar amp & bass amp. clients are advised to bring
cymbals - basic ride and hats provided. Additional amps and cymbals etc can be hired (see below)

Rehearsal Rates

  • 4 hours: £38/£36 concession
  • 3 hours: £30/£28 concession
  • 2 hours: £23/£21 concession
  • 1 hour: £12/£11 concession
