Southwest’s premier Music Technology Expo 2009-2014

The Analogue to Digital Music Expo is a unique annual music industry event for all musicians and music enthusiasts alike, hosted by Exeter-based social enterprise Sound Gallery CIC. Whether you are a professional musician or an aspiring artist looking to kickstart your career, this event will give you the chance to experience cutting-edge music technology, music industry seminars and talks, live demos, performances and masterclasses delivered by high profile musicians, producers, promoters and record labels. A2D showcases a diverse range of products by major music technology brands, not to mention an array of hands-on demos, masterclasses, workshops and music industry seminars.

Confirmed exhibitors include Yamaha Music, Native Instruments, Time+ Space, Sontronics, Quested, Academy of Music and Sound, dBs Music and more. This year’s keynote speakers include Richard Barbieri who has been the keyobar/synthesiser player for the last 12 years with Porcupine Tree, that has now developed into a successful touring band with major label releases and a worldwide profile. The panel will welcome back Ville Leppanen from Animal Farm and will be chaired by Nick Tarbitt from indie record label Integrity Records. The panel will be joined by legendary guitarist Steve Cradock (Paul Weller/Ocean Colour Scene), Sally Cradock and ex-Seahorses drummer and singer-songwriter Andy Watts.

A2D is organised and hosted by Exeter-based social enterprise Sound Gallery CIC which runs a professional recording studio, rehearsal spaces and music technology programmes and provides volunteering, work experience and training opportunities for young people with special emphasis on those who are at risk of social exclusion and live in challenging circumstances.

A2D2014 is hosted by Sound Gallery CIC, is supported by Exeter Phoenix and Exeter City Council and is part of the National Science and Engineering Week.
