RECORDINGS

Bookings 
To book a recording session, please call 01392-495301 to discuss your project with the Studio Manager or contact us through the website. You are also welcome to visit us at the studio. In order to secure a booking for a recording session, we require a £50 deposit. For bookings for more than one day, 50% of the total amount is required in advance of the session. Remaining fees have to be paid in full at the end of the session, preferably at the end of each day. No recorded material will be released until full payment has been received. Payments made by 3rd parties must be made in advance, in full. Daytime sessions start at 10am unless otherwise agreed. No refund or allowance will be made for clients arriving late or missing time.

Cancellation Policy
Please give 7 working days notice before a recording session in order to cancel your booking free of charge; any later than this, we regret there will be a charge of the total cost of the recording session(s). If you notify us earlier we will return your deposit in full. For recordings over 1 day, please give 10 working days notice.

Gift Vouchers for recording sessions, music courses etc are valid for 3 months. We regret that we cannot reinburse gift vouchers after this period.

Special Offer Recordings We offer special offer recordings during the year. Please note that clients are eligible for one session or project per discounted period.

REHEARSALS

Bookings
Please pay at the Sound Gallery Office before you start your rehearsal. New clients are required to pay in full for the first rehearsal in advance of the session. Clients who wish to book weekend rehearsals need to pay the full cost of the rehearsal in advance. Due to high demand and for the avoidance of no shows, evening rehearsals are booked with a £10 deposit paid in advance. Block bookings are paid in advance in full.

Breakages Rehearsal and recording studios are checked before and after each session. Breakages and damages to equipment caused by clients need to be paid within 5 working days.

Cancellation Policy
Please give 2 working days (48 hrs) notice before a rehearsal session in order to cancel your booking free of charge; any later that this, we regret there will be a charge of £15.

COURSES

Bookings

Due to popular demand, early booking is strongly recommended. Places are limited and allocated on a first come-first served basis. To book a place in the course, please contact us to request an enrolment form. We do repeat popular courses, so if you are not lucky first time we will do our best to get you in next time. We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or amend courses, so please make sure you provide us with the correct contact details when you book so that we can contact you. In case, a course is cancelled, clients receive a full refund or are given the option for 1:1 tuition at a different hourly rate (£40 per hr).

Cancellation Policy
Please give us 10 working days notice before we can cancel your attendance with a full refund. For cancellations where less than 10 days notice is given, we regret that we can only re-inburse clients 10% of the full amount. We regret that we are unable to refund any money once a course has started. 

METHODS OF PAYMENT

We accept payment by BACS, cash, Paypal, cheque and major credit and debit cards (VISA, Mastercard, Maestro). We reserve the right to charge a 2.85% surcharge on all card transactions and 5% on Paypal transactions to cover our administration charges. 

Sound Gallery Studios are run by Sound Gallery CIC, a social enterprise, nor for profit organisation, and as such, we re-invest our profits in our business in order to support our social objectives. We are able to offer concessions & discounts to students, unemployed/low income, not for profit organisations, charities, etc.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

Please do not bring food and drink in the recording studio, rehearsal studio or control room (bottled water is fine). Basement corridors need to be clear at all times as they lead to the Fire Exit. Artists are advised to take breaks on the ground floor at Exeter Phoenix which also has FREE wi-fi access and a fully licensed cafe-bar and offers 10% discount for students. Thank you.
